When To Go
The best time of the year to visit Dubai is between November and April, when the weather is coolest. The rest of the year you're more likely to be running from one air-conditioned environment to the next instead of getting out and exploring.

Ramadan, which takes place at a different time each year on the Western calendar, is the Muslim month of fasting and is strictly adhered to throughout the UAE. That means that it's illegal, not to mention rude, to eat, drink or smoke in public from sunrise to sunset at this time. On the 'up' side, hotel rates drop to 50% of their usual cost.

Visit Visas - Citizens of Western Europe and Pacific Rim
Citizens from Europe and certain other locations may be granted a free of charge for One Entry Visit visa on arrival in the UAE. The visa enables them to stay for 60 days The visa is renewable for a total stay of 90 days for a fee of Dhs 500.

Tourist Visas - Citizens of East & West Europe
A Tourist Visa may be obtained for individual tourists from: East and West Europe, and certain other regions. The Tourist Visa entitles its holder to a 30 day stay and is non-renewable. The Tourist Visa requires the sponsorship of hotels and tour operators who bring in visitors from the above listed countries to pay Dhs 10.

Attractions
Dubai offers an extensive horizon of things to do, see, experience and learn. It is surrounded by mysterious deserts, sand dunes and the stunning Hajar Mountains, it is divided by the Creek which is essentially an inlet from the gulf splitting the commercial centre of Dubai in two, and within the city you'll find amazing beach resorts, incredibly high tech buildings all side by side with old traditional houses and mosques giving you a peek of just what variety you can expect from your time in Dubai.
